21 Issue 1 | 2020 www.ortrucking.org Committee Updates HIGHWAY POLICY COMMITTEE OTA has been working with ODOT leadership to improve the department’s mobility process. This includes issues like restriction notices, over-dimension permits, and requirements for moving superloads. At the project level, the committee participates in monthly meetings to make sure projects do not reduce the physical carrying capacity of haulers by reducing horizontal or vertical clearances or by closing critical routes for construction. Watch for updates on the Allied, Government Affairs, Highway Policy, Membership, and Oregon Truck PAC in upcoming issues.
