OTA Dispatch Issue 1 2020
EVENTS Southern Oregon Trucking Industry Mixer SEVEN FEATHERS CASINO RESORT | CANYONVILLE, OR | JANUARY 23, 2020 WHERE WERE YOU on 9/11? That was the topic of this year’s presentation at OTA’s largest event in Southern Oregon. Lieutenant Colonel Robert J. Darling, United States Marine Corps (Ret.), captivated the audience as he shared his experiences from inside the White House bunker and how top leaders made decisions to keep our people safe during the attacks on our nation. OTA Chair Andy Owens (A & M Transport), President & CEO Jana Jarvis, and OTA in Action Committee Chair Mark Gibson (Siskiyou Transportation) also provided an update on the state of the trucking industry in relation to the association, all the proposed topics in the upcoming legislative session, and how members can take action. Attendees got a chance to mingle with old friends and meet new trucking industry people during the cocktail reception and after party at Steelhead Lounge where Jana’s husband, Ron Jarvis, entertained the group with his piano skills. Special thank you to Andy for helping us organize this event for the last seven years! 12 Oregon Trucking Associations, Inc. Oregon Truck Dispatch
