15 www.ortrucking.org Issue 2 | 2019 SuperTech Competition WORLD OF SPEED | WILSONVILLE, OR | MARCH 30, 2019 The next day, at World of Speed, professional and student diesel technicians competed in a series of hands-on diagnostic and written tests at SuperTech for their chance to win and have an opportunity to compete at the National SuperTech Competition. Although the event itself requires quite a bit of concentration, there was plenty of competitive camaraderie and jokes in between stations! Some technicians prepare months in advance even though the station requirements are highly secretive until the day of the event. We’d like to recognize all the participants for their hard work and for overcoming their fear enough to compete. This is a true showcase of skills, and we hope everyone walked away learning something new, too. Thank you to all our volunteers! We can’t wait to see everyone again, and some new folks, next year.
