32 Oregon Trucking Associations, Inc. Oregon Truck Dispatch TMC Technology & Maintenance Council New Fleet Maintenance Certification Program for Maintenance Managers O TA recently announced a new fleet maintenance certification program that will launch this year. The exclusive training program is specifically designed for maintenance managers and technicians looking to move into leadership roles and gain new skills. Similar to the NW Fleet Safety Certification Program, students will meet monthly throughout the year at the OTA office to cover topics such as OSHA and FMCSA compliance, inspections, repairs, maintenance files, service requirements, and more. The classes will not be hands-on or technical-based, and will instead be focused on managerial/supervisory techniques to help individuals lead a team of technicians. Anyone interested in this “OTA University” series should contact Christine Logue at christine@ortrucking.org for more information and to get on the list. Watch the OTA website for more information on the program in the upcoming weeks.  OTA’s Technology & Maintenance Council is always looking for volunteers! If you’ve got some fresh ideas for upcoming class topics and genuinely want to help other maintenance personnel, join the TMC! Not sure what it’s all about? TMC hosts training classes across the state and helps organize events like the annual Maintenance Fair and SuperTech Competition.
