All proceeds from the tournament went towards reestablishing OTA’s scholarship fund. The second night brought the highest attendance in recent years for the Truck PAC Dinner. The ticketed event was initially established to thank Leadership Circle members that annually contribute $1,000 or more to the PAC fund but has been recently opened to guest attendees for purchase. We appreciate your support. The Board also elected and reinstated members during OTA’s Annual Meeting (see page 3 for a full list of current board members). OTA invited Chris Outen, America’s Road Team Captain and two- time Oregon TDC Grand Champion to speak at our Awards Banquet. He brought the group close to tears when he told his personal story about truck driving, the image of the industry, and how important drivers are to the economy. Dale Lemmons held a brief live auction to raise contributions for the Truck PAC. And to conclude the event, we announced this year’s award winners. Congratulations to Tradewinds Transportation, our first Image Award winner, Bart Sherman with Sherman Bros. Trucking, our Carrier Member of the Year, and LaPorte Insurance, our Allied Member of the Year!
