Heather and her company donate time, funding, and even trucks to local community organizations, including education, workforce, and youth development events and programs. She has helped the OTA launch its first Membership Committee and is involved in other OTA efforts. Internally, the company has implemented environmentally friendly initiatives, including investing in a newer trucking fleet and recycling and paperless efforts. Bart served as OTA chairman, helped restructure the organization for longer term stability including increasing member participation and growth, formalizing the committee structure, and guiding the group through the passage of the state’s substantial transportation package in 2017. He’s an active OTA member, promotes training efforts, assisted in the launch of a new scholarship program and, ensures that industry member voices are heard. LaPorte’s Portland team, including representatives Dan Petrillo and Adam Harris, was recognized for its ongoing volunteerism, active involvement and annual sponsorship. Dan helped launch OTA’s NW Fleet Safety Certification Program and has been key go-to contacts and active participants in OTA’s events and training classes. LaPorte has also provided informative articles in various OTA publications.
