Oregon Truck Dispatch EVENTS 2018 Annual Safety Conference Salem Convention Center | Salem, OR | April 18–20, 2018 OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE dedicated to educating and connecting safety professionals in the trucking industry brought over 120 attendees to Salem this year. Preceding the event, OTA held meetings for our committees, SMC council, and board of directors and opened with a welcome reception for attendees to help break the ice on Wednesday evening. Over the next two days, speaker presentations included the importance of onboarding drivers for employee retention, ELD updates and distracted driving from ODOT, teaching adult learners, and even a mock trial presentation.
