OMA Medicine in OR Spring 2016

During the annual meeting, Dr. Robert Orfaly was installed as our 142nd OMA President. In his speech, Dr. Orfaly noted it is incumbent on us to harness the power of change to meet the goals of both providers and patients. Included in his challenge was the warning that we also need to be vigilant in detecting not only what is working well, but also the negative consequences of our previous decisions. We must accept that we may not have gotten things totally right the first time. This is great advice as we continue to barrel down the road of innovation in Oregon. We should be aggressive in our problem solving, but take care in ensuring we get everyone across the finish line in one piece. Thank you for being an OMA member and please feel free to send me your thoughts at any time.  w ww.theOMA.org Spring 2016 7
