www.ohca.com Spring/Summer 2018 The Oregon Caregiver 23 PROFILE possible in Oregon, because providers are consistently working together and supporting each other for the good of the residents and the staff. Quality is going to continue to skyrocket as we have more tools and information to understand and accomplish more. In respect to our workforce, long term care will be seen as a go-to place to spend your career. Not only is this a profession where people can have a job and make a living, but we get to see the tangible results of making a difference in people’s lives. Opportunities are limitless for people working in long term care. We always need to ask ourselves how our seniors will pay for the increase in costs due to increasing requirements and regulations. I am hopeful that regulators in Oregon will continue to include us in conversations and avoid unintended consequences that do not promote the quality. Most importantly, I hope they see us as part of the team. We all are looking for the a positive outcome. 
