7 SCORE A free and confidential service from the US Small Business Administration for NMDA members that groups peers with seasoned businessmentors to provide help to thosewanting to go into business or those that are taking on increasing responsibilities in their own business. The program encourages sound planning and decision making to foster success. Dentists may be new to the profession or experienced practitioners wanting to hone their business skills. AMERICAN PROFIT RECOVERY American Profit Recovery is a flat-rate collection service that specializes in dental office collections. In Phase I, the service is pre-paid at a very reasonable rate allowing the office to collect the full amount owed. Offices control the process and need only submit the accounts with which want assistance. The process is firm but gentle and results in outstanding rates of collection. Phase 2 is a more traditional collection service and completely optional. The online interface is easy both for submitting accounts and monitoring the progress of the service. Members receive discounted rates. BEST CARD Denver-based Best Card specializes in providing credit card processing services for dental offices. The have excellent customer service and a local presence in Albuquerque to assist offices with processing credit cards and payment plans. Software to link directly with most office software packages is available and their web-based service allows easy access to reports and troubleshooting. Rates are some of the lowest in the industry and members receive special pricing on equipment. PCI/HIPAA OFFICESAFE PCI/HIPAA is one of NMDA’s most recent endorsements. They offer compliance services forHIPAA that includes documentation, training, monitoring, data security, data breach insurance, HIPAA- compliant email, and off-site back up, as well as compliance with PCI standards for credit card processing and data storage. Members receive a compliance review, a HIPAA requirement, at no charge which includes a year of complimentary identity protection services for the doctor and familymembers. Members that subscribe to the ongoing OfficeSafe compliance package receive special pricing. BROWN & BROWN INSURANCE With offices in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos, Brown & Brown is available to service the insurance needs of dentists and dental offices. The have extensive experience with the insurance needs of dentists when it comes to professional liability, general liability, workmen’s compensation and property.
