STUDENT
SHADOWING
PROGRAM
As you may have heard, we are
in the process of launching a Student
Shadowing program. This program was
created to help connect students with
opportunities to observe the medical
field in a clinical setting, in order to
help students decide whether medicine
is truly something they wish to pursue
by watching a physician’s daily activities
in an effort to learn and see the
environment of a physician in practice.
This experience will provide students
a “real-life” view of the medical field.
While it may sound like quite the time
commitment, we want to stress that
you, the doctor, choose how much time
to allow a student to shadow you in
your clinic; even an hour a month can
help! If you are interested in providing
a shadowing opportunity for a pre-med
student, please contact Krystal Marx,
Operations Manager, at:
marxk@
kcmsociety.org
or 206-621-9396, and
be sure to read more about the program
(or sign up!) here:
