15 Fall 2019 FEATURE ARTICLE HCAOA Members Look to Association for Advocacy, Professional Credibility Under $1 million Over $50 million $26–50 million $11–25 million $6–10 million $1–5 million HCAOA Members Based on the information provided anonymously by our Voting Members, about 30 percent identify as independent home care providers. The majority of respondents have an annual revenue of between $1–5 million. This tells us that regardless of being independent or part of a larger franchise, the average HCAOA member is in the $1–5 million range of annual revenue. Of those who responded to the question, about 75 percent had an HCAOA chapter in their state. Main Themes In our analysis of the survey results, certain themes kept repeating. Members, in general, are interested in advocacy, federal and state legislative updates, and more state chapter activity. Many mem- bers expressed an interest in HCAOA providing health insurance options for members. HCAOA is currently working on this initiative.
