22 CALIFORNIA LODGING NEWS www.calodging.com   continued OUTGOING CHA IR Scott VandenBerg General Manager The Hyatt Regency Sacramento OVER THE PAST 39 YEARS, Scott VandenBerg has held various management positions with Hyatt Hotels Corporation across 17 properties, of which seven were new hotel openings. Scott is currently the General Manager at Hyatt Regency Sacramento, where he has worked since June 2011. Previously, Scott has been the General Manager of Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, Hyatt Regency Mission Bay and Hyatt Westlake Village. In addition to running the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sacramento, he has stayed busy by being on several other boards in addition to CHLA. He is incoming Board Chair for Visit Sacramento and is a board member with Downtown Sacramento Partnership, Sacramento Hotel Association and Sacramento Tourism Marketing District. Outside of work, Scott enjoys long Harley rides through the Delta backroads and boating on the Sacramento River. He is also a lover of speed owning four Corvettes, which help keep the weekends full of fun. Living in such an active State, such as California, Scott has really enjoyed working with CHLA as Board Chair this past year.  CHLA would like to sincerely thank Scott VandenBerg for his time and leadership serving as the 2018 Board Chair.
