Outlook is Bright for California Annual conference an opportunity to learn, shape Visit California’s future neXt MOntH, LeADerS FrOM ALL SeGMentS OF CALiFOrniA’S travel and tourism industry will gather in Palm Springs for the Visit California 2015 Outlook Forum. The annual event provides an opportunity for travel professionals to convene for professional enrichment and to engage with Visit California’s global marketing programs. This year, there’s even more at stake In the final weeks of 2014, the travel industry voted on the “Dream Big Dividend,” a monumental effort to maintain California’s global competitiveness. The industry approved revised assessment rates, effective July 1, that increase the funding for Visit California’s marketing programs. “I am eager to gather with California’s travel leaders at such a critical time for our industry,” Visit California President & CEO Caroline Beteta said. “Outlook will provide a chance to collaborate with colleagues as the industry develops the strategy that will guide a new era for California tourism.” Though the “Dream Big Dividend” has been years in the making, Outlook Forum offers the first opportunity to gather as an industry after the revenue question has been answered. In addition to specialized content tracks and deep dives into proven and emerging international markets, the conference will include opportunities for attendees to gather more insight into the state of an industry poised for great possibilities. And industry engagement will be ongoing. For the next six months, several committees will work to refine Visit California’s program of work in the “Dream Big Dividend” funding environment. Much of the work will be informed by the research, tactical approaches and best practices slated to be unveiled at Outlook Forum. 2015 Outlook Forum will be held February 23–24 at the La Quinta resort & Club in Greater Palm Springs.
