The Signal | January/February 2020 27 The Foundation ATSS Foundation adds Fun Run to events lineup Golf tournament and Sporting Clays Event continue to bring support for roadway workers The 50thAnnual Convention & Traffic Expo kicks off a new fundraising event this year with a 2-mile fun run. The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation (The Foundation) Fun Run takes place at 7 a.m. on January 26 at the Audubon Aquarium of the Ameri- cas, located near New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which is the site of events from January 26–28. “I know running is a popular option for people seeking to stay fit so I’m excited we’re offering this additional activity,” said Donna Clark, ATSSA vice president of member services. “With the distance of just two miles, it’s something people of all ages can enjoy whether they want to run or walk. Plus, it’s for a great cause, providing another fundraising option to support people who lost a loved one to a work zone incident.” The popular annual golf and sporting clays events will again be part of the Annual Convention, with both being held on January 24. The Annual Golf Classic Tournament marks its 29th year of supporting The Foundation’s charitable programs and the Sporting Clays Eventmarks its eighth. “Bothof our golf and sporting clays events are highly impactful to roadway work- ers and their families.
