28th Annual Golf Classic Tournament and 7th Annual Sporting Clays Event to support Foundation at ATSSA’s 2019 convention The continually successful Annual Golf Classic Tournament and Annual Foundation Sporting Clays Event will be held in conjunction with ATSSA’s 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in Tampa, Florida in 2019. The 28th Annual Golf Classic Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at the Saddlebrook Golf & Country Club. The 7th Annual Sporting Clays Event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the same day at the FishHawk Sporting Clays. “The Foundation continues to have great turn outs at both the golf and clays events each year, which is equally heart warm- ing and important as they support the nonprofit’s many programs and in turn, support roadway workers and their fam- ilies,” said Foundation President Tom Wood. “We are looking forward to 2019 and continuing our efforts to help those in need.” Both the golf and sporting clays events remain the largest fundraisers of the year that support The Foundation’s pro- grams. These fundraisers allow The Foundation to provide Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarships to spouses and dependents of workers who were killed or permanently disabled in roadway work zone accidents. Donations and support fromThe Foundation and ATSSA members also help to maintain the Na- tional Work Zone Memorial, which hon- ors more than 1,400 people who have been killed in work zone crashes.
