American Traffic Safety Services Association 30 Member Company & Agency News Payne’s Parking Designs, Inc. hosts association staff members ATSSA site visits to member companies increase industry knowledge ATSSA staff members recently visit- ed Virginia-based member company Payne’s Parking Designs (PPD) Inc. as part of an effort to increase staff aware- ness of the needs, concerns, and prior- ities of member companies and to ex- perience what association members do in their daily operations. ATSSA has made efforts to increase its presence at the facilities of its member companies. Each of the association’s de- partments is dedicated to serving asso- ciation members through various pro- grams such as organizing site visits with legislators and member companies, ATSSA’s Employee Immersion Program (a program started in 2017 that allows ATSSA members to host an association staff member), and site visits to the fa- cilities of ATSSA chapter members. “ATSSA is dedicated to serving its mem- bership base and fostering its relation- ships with industry professionals,” said ATSSA’s Director of Member Engagement Rita Rose. “The commitment to support member companies not only highlights the work being done to develop and im- plement standardized traffic control de- vices and services, but also fulfills the overarching goal of ATSSA—to advance roadway safety.” PPD is a contractor that specializes in striping and signage. The company is certified in traffic signage and pavement markings through the Virginia Depart- ment of Transportation. “Here at PPD, one of our main goals is to provide services that promote public and roadway safety,” said PPD Safety Manager Bruce Ordway. “As a member of the association, we were happy to host ATSSA staff members and take them on a tour of our facilities to show what our employees do fromday-to-day.
