There were five focus areas at Intertraf- fic, including parking, smart mobility, traffic control, infrastructure, and road- way safety. Two of the 79 sessions were led by staff members of ATSSA member company 3M: Andrew Dunbar, business leader for 3M’s Connected Roads Program in the 3M Transportation Safety Division, who presented “Roadmarkings designed for optimal detection by ADAS,” and Fuat Atkan, global regulatory affairs manager for 3M’s Transportation Safe- ty Road Show, who presented “Traffic sign brightness and driver safety.” “This year, the show featured no less than three on-floor theatres. Our close coop- eration with authoritative experts re- sulted in a well-received mix of themes and topics,” stated Exhibition Manager Intertraffic of RAI Amsterdam Joyce de Winter. “The Intertraffic content program clearly met the demand for knowledge exchange and learning opportunities.” The biennial event is an important op- portunity for ATSSA to have represen- tation in front of a global audience, build international relationships, and learn about the latest innovations in the road- way safety infrastructure industry on a American Traffic Safety Services Association 12
