4 Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. NEWS BRIEFS Fall Registration Leads to Largest Class Yet SEMCA’s fall 2017 enrollment has roughly doubled over the past year and a half. At this rate, not only will the 2021 graduating class be the largest graduating class SEMCA has ever seen, but SEMCA is on pace, by 2020, to graduate more students in five years than CET will have gradu- ated in the entirety of the 30-year program. Two New Satellite Campuses Opening This Fall SEMCA enrollment is not only expanding at the Madison Heights loca- tion, but this September, SEMCA is opening two satellite campuses: one in Lapeer, MI and the other in Monroe, MI. Our training facilities now offer classes in five different trades in three locations, with a few more under consideration for next year. Meet SEMCA’s Four New Instructors In order to meet the growing demand of our student population, we needed to hire a handful of new instructors. Kyle Crossman, William Connon, Tony Campbell and James Brooks will be joining our team of instructors beginning this fall. We are thrilled to have each one of them on board. ABC SEMI Has a Brand-New Look ABC SEMI took spring cleaning very seriously this year. Our staff took two whole days to clean out every nook and cranny in the building in preparation for the upcoming school year. The staff also worked on a few cosmetic changes, like repainting our shop area and front offices. ABC SEMI now has freshly painted walls to bring a little color into our work and school environment. As a finishing touch, we hung up over a dozen canvases to highlight member projects. If your company would like to display a prized project at the ABC offices, send a high- resolution picture and we will get a canvas made free of charge.
